All our products are sourced from UK based suppliers with a large proportion of our products being manufactured in the UK. All Kidscope own label paint and glue is manufactured in the UK by Brian Clegg one of the leading manufacturers in the education market.
Our key message and advice to all our customers is that
“Children under 36 Months should be supervised when using art and craft products”
We know that in the pre- school and nursery environment that supervision is a pre-requisite and of utmost importance, therefore our products are suitable for use in this environment.
Many of our products have safety notices on, which will vary from supplier to supplier, these are required to ensure they are compliant with the EN71 regulations, such as
“Children under 36 months should be supervised when using this product”
“Not suitable for children under 36 months – contains small parts”
“Not suitable for children under 36 months”
The reason for the warning, in the majority of the cases, is that the packaging contains a small part. For example our ready mix paint is completely non toxic and safe for young children however if the cap was broken off it could pose a choking hazard. Another example is a wax crayon, the product is completely non – toxic, but if it was snapped, it could pose a choking hazard. Hence the need for supervision of those under 36 months when using art and craft products.

On each of these there will be information regarding the suitability of the product and in some cases washing instructions. Dependent on the size of the product the information could be very detailed or very simple. We recommend that any instruction or advice on packets is read and understood before they are used.
